Submersive Media was engaged by FX to work with series headliner Denis Leary on his personal social media presence leading up to and during the run of Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll, with the specific goal of massively increasing his social reach and driving awareness and excitement for the show in a smart, curated way. Submersive worked with Leary’s team to make sure all social outlets were balanced with posts about trending topics, the music industry as a whole, and promotion for the show, while keeping all copy in-line with Leary’s known/established comedic voice.
• Premiere episode received the biggest Live+3 jump of any comedy series in FX history.
• Submersive created an Instagram feed for Leary, and in 3 months it has been populated with over 100 images and gained 20.3K followers.
• User engagement on Facebook & Twitter more than doubled as post quality increased and use of social tools like hashtags and @ mentions were integrated into Leary’s posts.
